Listening Activity for "Imagine" (John Lennon)
Use these cards as an active listening exercise (excellent ESL activity). Students each receive one set of cards, which they separate and spread out on desk, in random, jumbled order. As song is played, they must listen carefully to the words and re-arrange the cards in correct order.
Note: if teachers have access to a rotary paper cutter, it is possible to purchase perforated blades. These are great, as they allow you to pass out the cards as intact sheets, and then the students can separate the cards (pre-perforated with the paper cutter). Much easier classroom management than trying to keep individual pre-cut card sets organized. (See http://preview.tinyurl.com/perforatedblades for a view of what these cutting baldes look like.)
