Description: Activities based on the video: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-15769467. The video is about a visit of Amma from India who gave hugs to whoever it wanted in Alexandra Palace. Before you give the w/s to the students ask them the questions: Would you hug a stanger? How would you feel if you were hugged by one? What would you think of him/her? It will be interesting to see whether their opinions change after watching the video from the BBC site. Students watch the video and complete the activities. The activities are of varying difficulty, which make them good for mixed ability group. 1. Gap fill 2. Chose the right word. 3. Who says what? Match the sentences with the people. 4. Match the words with the pictures – easy task My students enjoyed the activities a lot. Key included.
