Shopping- Part3-finding Items and Paying
These worksheets are part 3 of a series. They can be used with the other two parts or alone. The first two parts help students learn the locations of items in a store.
The worksheets in this part help students practice how to ask to try something on, how to ask for another size/color, and how to pay for their items. It is broken down so that the students start with Dialogue Boxes A and B to locate items...Then if they need to try things on, they can go on to dialogue boxes C and D...And finally, if they need a different size/color, they can move on to dialogue boxes E and F.
They can practice many times by using the substitution box at the bottom of the page. (Numbers for each column correspond with numbers under underlined parts in the dialogues.)
For the second print, I usually do a lesson on money beforehand. Once students understand money terms (in this case dollars and cents), they can practice calculating change at the bottom of the print (Substitution box). Students subtract the cost of the item from the money given in cash and write it in column 3. Then they can substitute the information from the three columns into the dialogue and practice paying for their items.
