PAST PERFECT GAME
I made this game to practice past perfect with my students. Give each student a sheet and have them cut out the strips. Have a (larger) copy for yourself. Select 8 or so strips, depending on the age/level of you students and how determined they are, and arrange them somewhere you can see them but the students canīt, for example on a piece of cardboard. THe students should have the same strips as you but will not know the order you put them in. The students will use the past perfect to find out the order of your activities. "Had you already eaten your lunch when you swam in the ocean?" "no, I hadnīt eaten lunch when I swam in the ocean." When the students figure out the correct order (this will take awhile but my students really enjoyed the challenge) they can then play in pairs.
