Worst job in History Classified contest
This activity was actually created after a conversation my students and I had after reading classified ads during a unit "finding a job". They were supposed to choose a job offer and get ready for a job interview role play, but they argued that some of the jobs were really bad ones... Well, we ended up discussing the worst jobs ever, and they looked some up on the Internet.
It turns out that throughout history, some pretty awful ones have been invented.
We thus organized a worst job classified contest, and they chose some of those for their job interview role play : it was one of the funniest job interview lessons ever !
Even better with older students.
