How´s My Style? game
Have you ever wondered how you can help you students become more aware of how language changes in different situations and relationships?
This game will help your students realize their need for and practice changing the style of language depending on whether they´re in a formal (boss, customer) or informal (child, friend) relationship.
You´ll find a relationship spinner, situation cards--10 situations for each relationship, and three conversation styles (optional--for making the game even more challenging!), as well as a judging rubric. Print out the colored backs of the situation cards on card stock. Print out the situations on regular paper and glue them to the back of the colored cards. Do the same thing with the conversation style cards. Then cut them all out. Make a hole in the center of the spinner for the brad (brass fastener). Then laminate all. You can print the rubrics on card stock, and laminate them as well, using white-erase markers to fill them in.
Please send me any suggestions you have for improving my game.
