This reading is taken from Cambridge IGEFL (English as a First Language). It is for an advanced level class, or an upper intermediate class who need a challenge. The main difficulties are punctuation (lots of semi-colons and colons); lots of new words (depending on level); and colloquialisms, particularly uncommon phrasal verbs. This matches the ESL-style reading comprehension of the same name.
