Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare and Love story by Taylor Swift
Some of my students wanted to learn the song "Love story" by Taylor Swift (which has a great video. since the song recounts the story of Romeo and Juliet I decided they should know that first :). I re-wrote the Romeo and Juliet Story in easy Enlgish for them. It isn´t always easy to make out the exact words of Swifts´ song so I made exercises (gap fill) which can be done without listening or knowing the song, just by applying locig and basic grammar rules.. Nice to later discuss the difference between the two stories. I showed them a summary of the movie which happend to follow my summary very closely (clip for the song come what may on you tube). Hope you like it, mu students loved it. (and went home saying they studied Shakespeare:) Marion
