colour bingo / lotto
BINGO game : Teacher calls out colours (one by one) and children cross them out on their boards. The winner is the first to cross out all colours on his/her board.
You can call out the colours youself at the beginning, and later on have the children take turns and pick up one playing card from a pile and call the colours themselves. They really enjoy being teachers :-)
LOTTO game : give each child a board game, shuffle all playing cards and place them in the middle, face down. Each child, in turn, picks one card and names the colour. If they have it on their board they place it on top of the corresponding colour on their board. If they don’t have it, they place it at the bottom of the pile, and it’s the next child’s turn. The winner is the first one to fill up their board.
