Verb Card Game
There are 20 different images included in the printable. Print out 3 copies of each to make 60 cards. These are multi-functional as a tool. You can use them as simple flashcards, or play a game similar to "go fish," but with using the positive, negative and interrogative forms of various verb tenses. Divide the class into groups so you have 5 or more groups. Pass out 5-7 cards (depending on the size of the group) to each group, but do NOT pass out all the cards at the beginning. The students must then ask other groups for specific cards in the verb tense indicated by the teacher. The group who is the object of the question must respond with the positive or negative form of the same verb tense. If positive, the questioning group gets the card, and the questioned group takes a card from the remainder pile held by the teacher or spread out on the teacher´s desk. When a group collects all 3 copies of the card, they get 5 points. The group with the most points at the end wins.
*The cards are all set for the third person singular, but you could change them to have other pronouns.
**This activity can be found elsewhere online, but these sets of cards are my own creation with clipart and free image sources.
