"Christmas Time is Here" song listening activity sheet with answer key (editable)
This is a nice and simple song that catches the spirit of the season. Some suggested steps in using this activiy sheet: (1) Introduce the title and confirm that its meaning is understood. (2) Practice saying the words in the word list and ask the students what they mean. (3) Play the song and have the students fill in the blanks with words they hear. (4) After the first listening of the song, have students volunteer answers they know (write them on the board) and have the other students write those answers in, if they have not already done so. (5) Play the song again and have the students fill in the rest of the blanks. (6) If there is time, practice saying the lyrics and discussing their meaning. (7) Play the song a final time or two and sing along. (The mp3 of the song can be purchased online at iTunes, CD Universe, Amazon, etc.)
