Love and Marriage (Series of lessons) Sinatra song, vocabulary work, discussion & reading
(Suitable for elementary, intermediate and advanced) This is a series of lessons on the topic ´Love and Marriage.´ There´s enough material here for at least two hours´ worth of lessons. The first activity is a listening comprehension activity based on the song ´Love and Marriage´ by Frank Sinatra. This is followed by vocabulary exercises based on the song. The next section introduces wedding ceremony vocabulary following by a written exercise. After this there is a discussion section with conversation questions about relationships. Because I teach a mixed-level class, I made two seperate discussion pages, an easier one for elementary-level students and a harder one for intermediate and advanced. Finally, students read a biography of Frank Sinatra and answer reading comprehension questions.
