Text Message Excuses
Students will sit back to back and write each other ´text messages´. Then, they switch papers and respond to the messages. Each student has a separate complaint to their friend, so each student will practice asking questions and giving excuses / explanations. -It´s a fun opportunity to introduce students to text lingo in a casual non-academic writing task.
