SURVIVAL IN THE NORTH
Survival in the North. (here磗 the lesson plan)
This is a great reading-vocabulary activity, that I have been doing with my students for years! They LOVE IT!
Have students read the scenario, have they work with a partner and then (in English) - have them discuss which items would help them in that dangerous situation. No right and no wrong answers! At the end, you can discuss with the class, which items YOU would choose, and why. LOTS OF FUN!
This includes a text, an exercise, a study sheet for vocabuly quiz the following class!!! And finally, there磗 the quiz - as well. Your students will learn new words that are quite hard to use in any other context, except survival. Plus, they will learn the function of those words, and added bonus, they磍l learn something about Northern Canadian culture!
