Talk, Talk, Talk!
Fluency, not perfection is the purpose of this activity. My students love it! The teacher sets a timer for a minute or two, and students must say as many words as possible about a given topic while a partner counts their words using the worksheet. After time is finished, the listener will say a comment and ask a question. This is best done in more than one lesson so that students can compare their progress. For lower level students, I leave only three "Keep Talking" words and two "Comments" on the handout and erase the rest of the text so that they don´t get overwhelmed.
