Shopping_Challenge
This is a role playing activity. It relates to shopping, negotiating, bargaining, acting, and modals, among other things. Set a time limit. Stop this activity when you see fit. There are two sets of role cards. One set consists of shop keepers. The other set consists of shoppers. Give each team / individual a role card. The shoppers have to walk around the classroom and shop for the items on their shopping list. There is an added twist to each shop keeperīs role. The shoppers should observe each shop keeperīs behavior. The shoppers must guess what is strange about each shop keeperīs character. The last page has labels for each shop. These labels are optional. This activity is geared towards intermediate / advanced level students in the Republic of Georgia. Feel free tweak this activity to suit your studentsī levels / needs.
