Movie Director /Reported Speech/Go Fish
Go Fish Game for practicing the formation of reported speech. Document includes full set of 27 cards.
GO FISH INSTRUCTIONS
Make two sets of the cards. Mount onto construction paper and laminate if you wish. Students play in groups of 4 or 5. Deal out 5 cards to each player. The rest of the cards remain in a pile face down on the table. If a player has a match (2 identical cards) they put them on the table.
The first player asks the player to the right “Did the Director tell us …?” and say the Director’s quote in the correct form of reported speech. If the second player has the card, he/she says “Yes, he did.” and gives the card to the first player. The player puts the pair down on the table. If the second player does not have the card, he/ she says “No, he didn’t.” and the 1st player takes a card from the pile. If the first player receives a card that he or she has asked for, the go again. The game continues around the table until all the cards are gone. The player with the most pairs wins.
