The silent e rule with i The silent e rule with i

This is a worksheet to help learners understand the use of the silent e in relation to the vowel i between two consonants. The learnrer reads words without a silent e then he has to add the silent e to the same words. The silent e causes the i to have the sound of the name of the letter rather than a short i sound. There are sentences where the word with the silent e has to be completed and the learner has to read the sentence to show they understand the sound of the i changes.
