British New Year Guessing Game worksheet

I sued this idea as an ALT at a Japanese Junior high school but you can also use it with other teen to adult classes for a first class of the new year 2014 after you return home from your holidays. Organise the class into groups and read through the questions. Students discuss and select which answer they think is right. Deal with any new vocabulary as you proceed. At the end, students listen to the reading to check whether their answers are correct. This will hopefully develop their listening and you may then ask about similarities or differences in the students country/countries.
