Picture-based conversation : topic 47 - translation vs Original Version
I had the opportunity to read the same book in British English (which was the OV), American English, French and Italian. I was actually puzzled to notice how different the feelings reading one language or another were. I felt excited with the OV, curious to notice the vocabulary that had changed with American, happy to read French to use it in my job and disillusioned with the Italian translation because I recognized absolutely nothing of Rowling´s intentions... What is your opinion as far as someone is able to ENJOY, to SIP the OV ? Several questions and a word bank. Good chat !
