A fun roleplay, especially if you have 10/12 students. To practice language of regret (eg: I wish I hadnīt stolen that apple). Five/six students are prisoners at an overcrowded prison. Five/six students are parole board officers. Individual interviews are conducted on a rotating basis so that all the officers get to speak to all the prisoners for three minutes each. Each prisoner has to try to convince the parole board officers that they deserve to be released. The parole board can only release two prisoners, so they will have to discuss which candidates are more deserving.
