This is the first part of a series of four readings on Joola. In 2002, The passenger ferry ,Le Joola, sank and over 1800 people died. It looks a little bit difficult at first but every reading use similar words such as shipwreck, victims, etc, students learn those vocabulary. You can use this to review of past tense verbs. The numbers related to the accident could trigger your students´ interest.
