The Hobbit Reading: to, for and since
This is the story of The Hobbit but I left out all uses of to, for and since. Students have to decide which preposition to use for the spaces. This practices: infinitive of purpose; using to before places; using an infinitive when there are 2 verbs in succession, and using since before dates in the past. I wrote this specifically with Spanish-speaking learners in mind because they get confused about when we use to or for as a translation of the Spanish word ´para.´
