English worksheet: British Food British Food

I always cut up the names of the British dishes and give each pair of students one "dish". Then they should try to guess what this dish includes and how it is made. Students are usually very creative. The teacher might have to help with vocabulary. Afterwards each pair present their "meal" to the class. I always write the name of it on the blackboard so that the others can follow their presentation. After all the presentations I hand out the exercise sheet. Now the students should match the names of the dishes to the definitions. Usually the students enjoy the activity.
