Song: Only Love paloma Faith worksheet

This catchy song by paloma Faith is used to practice phonemes. 1) Tell the students they are going to listen to the first verse of a song and the chorus. Students will need to write down as many words as they can hear in the song. 2) students compare their words with a partner. 3) For the second activity (cut up the words listed on the worksheet and the top table for every pair of students you have in the class). Students work in pairs while listening to the song and group the words (vowels are underlined) under the appropriate phoneme. This activity is used to practice and review vowels and diphongs (prior teaching of the phonemic chart is necessary).
