Introducing the Present Perfect
I prepared this worksheet when introducing the Present Perfect to a group of 12-year-olds. First, I wanted to show them the idea of an action/situation which started in the past and is still incomplete in the present (with the expression "so far"); then, I wanted to show them that ´s can have a third meaning (has) besides the two others they already knew (the contracted form of the verb To Be and the genitive); finally, I wanted them to figure out the structure of affirmative, negative and interrogative sentences. It worked quite well. I hope it works for your students, too.
