"Long-legged Guitar Picking Man"

This is a cloze exercise which tests students listening comprehension and provides a good introduction to compound and participle adjectives. After walking students through meaning and formation, I followed up with the included "fill-in-the-blank" exercise. Students then played "Guess Who?" in pairs, using compound and participle adjectives to guess which character their partners had. Everyone had a lot of fun with the final activity and got a kick out of the Southern American accent used in the song, especially the auditory learners.
