Childhood Memories Conversation
I give homework to the students the previous lesson of bringing any photos of their childhood to their classroom. I pair up the students and they have to talk about the photo for about 90 seconds to their partner. After 90 seconds is up, it is the partnerīs turn to talk about their photo. I rotate the students about 3 or 4 times so they get to improve the descriptiveness of their photo. I also bring in my own photos and demonstrate on how to talk for 90 seconds. After, I hand out this worksheet and allow the students to discuss the questions in their groups. Finally, we watch an episode of Peppa Pig (childhood cartoon), and in pairs students are asked to listen to nouns/verbs/adjectives and write as manyh as they can. The questions for this worksheet were inspired by Nick Leeds a fellow co-worker of mine.
