Putting Together Present Continuous (or Present Simple) Sentences
I uploaded one of these with "to be," but weŽve moved on now to the present continuous. We started with 2 worksheets (6 new verbs per class) where we introduced the verbs and conjugated them orally. Next weŽll do this sentence making activity - I always like to make it a race - to get them to practice positive, negative, and interrogative sentences.
The 12 verbs weŽre starting with are running, reading, crying, splashing, dancing, drinking, eating, swinging, falling, laughing, jumping, and sleeping... But you could easily change this to use any verbs you want!
In the first line, I included everything they will need for a present continuous sentences (plus am/is/are, because I expect them to know which one to use!!), but you could add the second line and make it more difficult with an object and/or the present simple.
