This excellent video made by the British National Road Safety is very challenging for the pupils: although it is first a “whodunit ?”, it actually turns out to be an advertisement to raise drivers’ awareness to cyclists. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubNF9QNEQLA.First only play the soundtrack and ask pupils to find out basic information about the situation.Then, they have to find as many differences as possible (good way to use the past continuous), and finally they make hypothesises about the meaning of the messages on the screen. It’s A2 in the CECR. Answerkeys and transcript of the video added.
