Pairwork - pictures to describe
These cards can be cut out and laminated if wished, with one set given to each pair. The cards are shuffled and placed face-down. Each partner has about two minutes to describe as many words as they can. The cards should last for four or five rounds. They are not allowed to pass if they get a difficult card. Before starting the activity, you should probably get the students to come up with clues for three or so common objects/places/people/feelings so that they get the hang of how to make hints. My students usually really enjoy these types of ´describing things´ pairwork activities.
