After reading an assigned fiction work one of the activities is to choose a memorable event from the book and present it as a comic strip. Before that there is a general discussion about the genre of cartoons/comic strips, we look at examples and the students come up with idea of which events in their books can be presented as a comic strip. I had the requirement of some dialogue or descriptive writing (in at least one of the panels). The Wimpy Kid books served as additional inspiration, but I sometimes skip that part if I donīt have the books around. Have fun!
