Connect 4 (numbers)
This is a game based on a board game "Connect 4" designed to give students practice in reading numbers out loud.
There are 2 identical grids per worksheet. Students play in pairs (one pair par grid).
They play in turns. They have to put their marks in the boxes, starting from the bottom (like in the original Connect 4 Game, which is vertical) and trying to put 4 marks in a row (horizontally, vertically, diagonally).
To be allowed to put their mark in a box, they have to read the corresponding number out loud.
Some boxes are empty. They can stay empty or the students can fill them in with their own numbers before starting.
Allow 15-20 minutes for this activity.
