Getting to Know You Through Drawing Icebreaker Getting to Know You Through Drawing Icebreaker

I use this icebreaker with my high-beginner/intermediate ESL classes if they are a shy group that is not comfortable interacting just yet. This allows them to work independently and they donīt even have to know the words--just draw! Later, I do one of three activities: (1) Have the student present their favorite 3 squares aloud to the class (2) Have students partner-up, talk about the drawings, and then present each othersī info to the class (3) I randomly choose a paper and describe 3 drawings and then the students have to guess who the paper belongs to based on what I have described.
