Homemade Subway Sandwich Worksheet 2 of 2
I am teaching an adult ESL class. I prepared the students for a trip to the local Subway restaurant. For many, it was the first time they used English outside of class and/or at a restaurant.
This worksheet is a poor attempt at replicating a real Subway Sandwich to give the students another opportunity to use the language. They made 2D sandwiches for each other the day after the field trip. The sandwiches look great on the wall! They colored the vegetables, and got really creative with scratch paper and crayons to resemble the dressings and vegetables.
I also found this worksheet the students used to help them learn the questions that workers ask the customer. http://www.avspeechtherapy.com/2012/04/29/ordering-at-subway/
I´m sorry the quality work is low. I´m not very artistic, but my students did wonders with my poor geometry.
Additionally, the day after learning about the vegetables (Worksheet 1 of 2), I had the students do a mini research project in four groups to educate the class about "bread, cheese, meat, and dressing choices. They reported on the difference flavors (sweet or sour) and what was the healthiest of all the choices.
I hope this is helpful. Please make these worksheets and lesson your own in any way you wish.
