COMPARATIVES - SUPERLATIVES RACE
This lesson requires a little preparation on your part, but this is a lesson you will be able to use over and over for the rest of your teaching career. I make constant use of visuals and free resources -- my favorite by far is pictures from newspapers and magazines. For this lesson, I collected pictures from the newspaper over the course of about 10 days. They are unbelievably random. I have 68 all nicely mounted on construction paper & laminated for permanent use. Pictures that show some kind of activity work best, because you can use them to describe emotions and not just objects. Plus, the pictures are useful in other contexts, not just for this lesson. So, do yourself a favor -- build a picture packet with about 100 random color pictures from newspapers and magazines. YouŽll be amazed at how handy they are.
