The Hitchhiker by Roald Dahl Part I
This is an activity I prepared for my students because I felt they needed some more reading activities! They loved! With this activity they are going to read this fab story from Roald Dahl and then match some words from the text with their meaning. After this, students are are going to fill out a chart describing all the 3 characters about their personality/appearance/speech and actions. My students did in pairs and I asked them to compare their results with the other students. Later on, I showed them a short movie I found on Youtube, and asked students to compare what are the differences in the adaptions. For the last two exercises, I suggested a writing: write a new end to the story and lastly a debate: Is the finger smith a good or bad person? It worked really well in my class! It took two classes to finish all activities! :)
Please be aware for Part II with Character Analysis, writing activity and Class debate! Unfortunately, I couldn´t upload in just one file!
