ee vs i pronunciation practice
This is a pronunciation activity intended to be done in pairs. It is centered around a list of ee-i minimal pairs (meat - mitt, etc) which is included on the last page. Each student page has a short list of 10 random words from the minimal pairs list and a space to write the words their partner says. In pairs, each student will read their list of words one by one while the other writes down the words they hear. Then they switch roles. This activity can be very helpful especially for native Spanish speakers, and it can be very difficult for those with low English exposure, so be sure you practice the sounds before doing this activity. It will also be helpful to practice the spelling of the words beforehand.
