Past Continuous Snakes and Ladders Past Continuous Snakes and Ladders

1. Play the board game in groups of 3. Students can use pen caps or erasers as game markers and a bottle cap as a die: label side=2 squares, bottom side=1 square. 2. Write the rules on the board • Players must complete the sentence with the correct verb form. Example: I was cooking lunch when I saw a spider. • If a player lands at the bottom of a ladder, they immediately go up. • If they land at a snake’s head, they immediately go down. • If a student says the sentence incorrectly, they must go back to their original square. 3. Play continues until someone reaches the finish square or class time runs out.
