How Your Birth Order Can Influence Who You Are (reading and crossword puzzle)
This is a reading about how some scientists think that birth order influences who you are as an adult. How I present this:
-cover birth order vocabulary (a review from previous lessons)
-ask students to group up based on their birth order (only child, first born (oldest), middle child, last born (youngest)
-in these groups they discuss the pros and cons of that birth order
-then I ask the group to share their answers and I write them on the board and allow the class to argue/debate the points
-next I ask the class if they think birth order could influence your personality as an adult (I give examples and ask them to give their personal experiences)
-next we read the article and talk about each vocabulary word
-then students complete the crossword puzzle on their own, then check answers in a group
