In this game, a student draws a random card with an adjective on it. The student must then list items that this adjective describes. The first student in the group to guess the adjective gets a poker chip. The student with the most poker chips in the end wins. This works GREAT with mid to high intermediate students. I HAD originally tried this with an upper beginner group and it flopped like a fish! :-( Then I tried it with low intermediates, with some better success, but still not what I had hoped for. But it works FANTASTIC with mid to upper intermediates.
