SENTENCE SCRAMBLE RACE
This is the easiest class you will teach all year. This is my go-to when I have had a hectic day without a lot of prep time. This takes about 20 minutes max to get ready. You need a complete set of sentence fragment strips -- provided in this sheet -- for each team. Works best with teams of 3 or more. Have the two teams complete to match the two halves of the sentences together to make a correct complete sentence. Details in the lesson plan attached. I used this with a group of 10 intermediate students last night and it was a blast. I circulated to help as needed, but they were actively reasoning and thinking through the grammar needed to make the sentence right, then went in search of the strips that gave them the grammar they needed. I love it when they teach each other! Enjoy
