4 of a kind (quartet) - fruit & vegetables worksheet

This is a basic game of 4 of a kind I play a lot with my students. It´s great for improving vocabulary as well as polite questions and basic interaction. Goal: There are four sets of four picture cards. On each card there is a big picture (f.e. orange) and there are pictures of other items from the set. (f.e. lemon/pine-apple/orange). The student who is able to collect all for cards connected (the quartet) gets one point and removes them from play. The students with most points (quartets) wins. Rules: We divide the cards among the students equally (best is to play with 3-4 students). The students take turns and choose one opponent and ask if he/she does have the item he wants. If the other students does, he/she hands the card over to the player. And the first player continue with asking. If the player collects all four of the set he puts it in front of him and his turn ends. If the opponent doesn´t have the correct card the next player takes turn. Encourage students to say greetings/ thank you / here you are / welcome and so on. And practise Have you got... and Do you have... Hope you like it. :)
