Battleship game - Simple Present and adverbs
This is a regular battleship game. Great to make students repeat the present simple structure in a fun way. Instructions: Battleship is a game for two players where you try to guess the location of the ships your opponent has hidden on a grid.
Students secretly place their ships on the upper grid. Each ship must be placed horizontally or vertically (not diagonally) across grid spaces, and canīt hang over the grid. Ships can touch each other, but canīt both be on the same space.
Players take turns calling out a row and column (and making a question), attempting to name a square containing enemy ships. When your enemy answers YES to a question (A: Do you usually paint? B: Yes, I do) it means you hit a boat and can therefore, mark the square on "your partnerīs rid" on the bottom of your worksheet. If your partner answers NO, (No, I donīt) it means you missed a boat and just have to cross out that square so that you do not ask the same question twice.
Victory: The first player to sink all opposing ships wins.
