Quiz game
This is a very good quiz game that test studentsī knowledge in indirect speech and time change, conjunctions (both...and, either...or, neither...nor) and spelling.
How to play:
Cut the cards and choose 3 different colors of cardboard.
Paste the card in the cardboard and cut them again (you can make ten cards of each color; green, red and yellow, for example).
Divide students in two groups. The groups take turns to take the cards and answer the question/make sentences.
You can determine the cardīs values, but students just know after they answered the question. For instance:
Green: The green card can be worth 2 points at the first time it was taken, 3 points at the second times and so on.
Red card: This card can be worth 1 point to right answers and -1 point to wrong answers.
Yellow card: This card can be worth 1 point, but after the group answered the question/made the sentence correctly, the group has to do a task (e.g. clap five times, do ten jumping jacks, etc).
The group with more points will be the winner.
PS: I used sentences from the book I use to teach, but you can change the sentences.
I hope you like it!
