Chinese New Year Fact File
This worksheet provides basic information about the customs relating to the Chinese New Year. This can be used as a reading and comprehension task for children and older ESL students. After reading the information, students are then asked to answer true or false to a number of statements. They are also required to use the internet to research the 12 animals in the Chinese Zodiac. This activity could be extended by asking students to find out their sign and the characteristics associated with their animal. We did this and it resulted in great discussion!
