This activity is designed for an advanced level class for conversation purposes. It gives a short description of some debating terms, a debate warm up, and the debate question itself (plastic shopping bags should be banned in Canadian cities). There is also a worksheet where the students can write their intros, reasons, and conclusions for the debate. It works well with a class of about 8-10/12.
