Hereīs a short text about the new Mayor of London, S. Khan. Itīs on 2 pages : first is the full text + photo (3 times), second is the same text, but with blanks (again, 3 times). I plan to project the photo and discuss the man : who is he? what do they imagine, etc..., then read them the text. Then Iīll project thetext with blanks and have students come and fill the blanks from what they understood. Next, each student gets a text with blanks and does the same work individually before an oral reading for verification and correction. Enjoy!
