Red Lorry, Yellow Lorry
This game is based on the bingo type game called Red Dog, Blue Dog from Orchard toys. I have made my own game cards that work in the same way. You should print the game cards (enough for up to 8 players) and the tokens. There is a back print at the end, if you want to print on the back of the tokens so you don´t lose them. Cut up the tokens up.
To play the game :
All the tokens are placed face down in the middle of the table. The students have one game card each. They take it in turns to pick up a token. They look at the token and must say what is on the card... for example, ´RED LORRY´, without showing the card to the rest of the group. If they have a match on their game card, they can place it on top of the matching image. If not, they must replace it on the table.
The game encourages the other students to listen, understand and remember where the tokens are if someone picks up one of theirs. This game always goes down really well with very young groups and is a simple enough concept for them to grasp.
The winner is the first player to fill their board.
