Indian Heroes
A series of short biographies of unsung Indian heroes such as the girl who stopped child marriages in her village or the man who organises birthday parties for kids in the slums. The idea is to cut them up and hang the biographies all over the room.
Followed by a questionnaire about these heroes, with careful attention paid to the names which can be complicated for those who are not used to them. The students will get up and move around the room looking for the different pieces of information needed. Works well for visual and kinesthetic learners.
A different typeface has been used for each biography, this may or may not be rendered correctly depending on the fonts installed on your computer.
